Jackson Nabs Consecutive LSC Defensive Accolade

RICHARDSON, Texas - For the second consecutive week, Oklahoma Christian women's basketball's Taylor Jackson was named the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday, Feb. 9.

As of Monday, Feb. 9, Jackson is the only player to earn the conference's weekly defensive nod two weeks in a row during the 2025-26 campaign.

The award-winning week started out with OC's biggest win of the year against Eastern New Mexico, 66-55. With the help of Jackson's three steals and one block, the Lady Eagles held ENMU to its second-lowest scoring output in conference play this season.

Two days later, Jackson posted a season-high four steals as part of the maroon-and-gray's season-high 17 steals against No. 7 West Texas A&M. Oklahoma Christian forced the Lady Buffs into a season-high 23 turnovers.

For the week, Jackson averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game. On the season, the McKinney, Texas, native now leads the team in points (14.9 ppg), rebounds (8.0) and steals (1.7).

Oklahoma Christian will now make its final trip to the Lone Star State when taking on No. 3 Texas Woman's and UT Tyler Thursday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m., respectively.
