LAWTON, Okla. - Led by a career performance from
Sofia Lopez and a dominating paint effort, Oklahoma Christian secured its second win in five days against the Cameron Aggies Tuesday afternoon, 65-58.
Lopez led the way for the Lady Eagles as she posted her career high in an Eagles uniform, notching 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting as well as two steals on the night.
Taylor Jackson also continued her stellar season, adding 15 points and nine rebounds giving her a total of 21 games this season in double figures.
Kenzie Willis also contributed 12 points and nine rebounds on the night.
The maroon-and-gray continued their strong defensive season as they forced 17 turnovers on the night against the Aggies. Oklahoma Christian controlled the game for the most part as it only trailed for a total of five minutes and three seconds. The Lady Eagles also snagged 18 offensive rebounds in the contest which, was the second most all season as a team.
Oklahoma Christian did most of their damage in the paint as they tallied 32 of their 65 points in the painted area.
The Lady Eagles (12-14, 8-11 LSC) will return to the Eagles Nest as they host UT Dallas for their final home game of the season as well as Senior Day on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 1:00 p.m.
