Ahniya Melton of the Oklahoma Christian women's basketball program were selected to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the CSC announced Tuesday, Mar. 24.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Eligible student-athletes require sophomore standing academically and athletically, at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and the student-athlete must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
Dobbs, Bennett, Lopez and Melton helped lead Oklahoma Christian to its most wins since joining the Lone Star Conference in 2019 and matched its most wins since the 2016-17 campaign. Dobbs and Melton, both of whom are seniors, played a combined 134 games in a Lady Eagles uniform over the course of their career.
