No. 20 Softball Puts Six Eagles on All-Conference List

RICHARDSON, Texas - Six Oklahoma Christian softball players - Jill Dickson, Grace Anderson, Marti Yaerger, Kadence Brewster, Kallie Rupp and Kate Paulsen - were named among the league's All-Lone Star Conference performers, it was announced Wednesday, Apr. 30.

This is the fourth year in a row OC has landed at least six players on the All-Conference team. Headlining the six recipients was Dickson, Anderson and Yaerger, who were named to the All-Conference First Team, marking the most LSC First Team recipients since joining the league in 2020.

Starting pitcher Jill Dickson made her third appearance on the First Team, as she is third in the conference as of the time of these selections with 176 strikeouts. Grace Anderson was selected as a utility player in what is her first appearance on the First Team list and third All-Conference selection as the senior is fifth in the conference with 167 strikeouts while also hitting .250 with 23 hits in 92 at-bats.

The maroon-and-gray are the only team in the conference with two pitchers among the top-5 in total strikeouts. Dickson comes into the first round of the LSC Tournament with 487 career strikeouts, which is third in program history, while Anderson is fifth with 422.

Joining the pitching duo on the First Team, as well as being named to the All-Freshman Team, is catcher Marti Yaerger, who is leading the team in batting average (.378), hits (65) and RBI (32). Yaerger's 65 hits are the most in a single-season for an OC player since 2015 (Kendra Pierce, 70). As a team, Oklahoma Christian is hitting .308 for its highest team-batting average since 2022 (.317).

Kadence Brewster and Kallie Rupp were each selected to the All-Conference Third Team as the Rupp and Brewster are second and third on the team with a .353 and .350 batting average, respectively. Additionally, the pair were honored with the Golden Glove award as OC was one of two LSC teams to have two honorees.

Rounding out the All-Conference performers is senior Kate Paulsen, who was one of nine honorees named to the LSC All-Academic Team. In addition to her team-high GPA, Paulsen is seeing a career-year on the diamond with a career-best 45 hits and 23 RBI and being tied for the team-lead with 16 extra-base hits.

No. 20 Oklahoma Christian along with its six 2025 All-LSC honorees will meet the fifth-seeded Lubbock Christian Lady Chaparrals in the first round of the conference tournament Thursday, May 1 at 5 p.m.
