RICHARDSON, Texas - The Oklahoma Christian women's basketball program was picked to finish 12th in the 2025-26 Lone Star Conference Preseason Poll as OC is three weeks out from its first regular season game of the new campaign.
The 12th-place bidding comes after the Lady Eagles posted their most wins in a single season since 2018-19 and the most under head coach
Markeith Brown, who is beginning his fourth year at the helm.
Brown and his staff return six players from last year's squad, including five seniors and/or graduate students. Headlining the returners is
Taylor Jackson, who scored double digits in nine of her 10 appearances before missing the rest of the year due to injury. Jackson was recognized as an LSC Player to Watch ahead of the new season.
Joining Jackson and the OC veterans is nine new faces, six of whom are transfers. Junior guard
Sofia Lopez and junior forward
Kenzie Willis lead this new class of Lady Eagles, with Lopez having scored 682 points in two years at Colby Community College while Willis surpassed the 500-point mark in two seasons while shooting 36.3 percent (33-91) from long range as a true freshman at Collin County CC.
Coach Brown and returner Jackson, along with graduate student
Ahniya Melton, sat down with Oklahoma Christian Director of Athletics Communication
Court Haygarth to discuss the upcoming season in the 2025 edition of LSC Hoops Week. Fans can view that interview

Oklahoma Christian will face a trio of NCAA Division I opponents as exhibition games before opening the year inside the Payne Athletic Center against in-region foe Chadron State of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Saturday, Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m.
