ROLLA, Mo. (May 26, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian pitcher Kali Crandall completed a sweep of All-America softball honors on Wednesday, receiving third-team recognition on the Division II Conference Commissioners Association list.

The D2CCA list was voted on by athletic communications professionals from across NCAA Division II. On Tuesday, Crandall was named to the second-team All-America list for NCAA Division II by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. She is the first OC softball player to be named as an All-American on either major list during the program's Division II era, which began with the 2013 season.

Crandall was a finalist for the D2CCA's Ron Lenz National Pitcher of the Year award, which went to Morgan Perry of Saint Anselm (N.H.).

Crandall, a sophomore right-hander from Artesia, N.M., starred in the circle this season as OC finished 38-9 – the best winning percentage in program history – while rising to No. 4 in the NFCA Division II coaches' poll and earning a No. 1 seed in the South Central Regional tournament for the first time.

She led Division II in wins for much of the season, posting a 24-3 record with two saves, a 1.91 ERA and 171 strikeouts in 161 innings. She'll finish in the top 10 nationally in wins and appearances (33).

Her 24 wins tied her for second on OC's single-season list in that statistical category (just one shy of the record), remarkable as the 2021 season was shortened by 20 percent (14 games) due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She threw 12 complete games and two shutouts while moving into second on OC's career strikeouts list with 443.

Crandall is the 15th OC player to make an All-America list at any level in which the Eagles have competed since the program started in 1995, including the NAIA (1995-2012) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (2013-15). The program's most recent All-Americans were pitcher Shea Coats and shortstop Kendra Pierce, who earned NCCAA All-America first-team honors in 2015.
