Nursing major … Two-way standout who was New Mexico’s high school player of the year in 2018 … Outstanding pitcher who also can hit the ball with power … 2019: All-Heartland Conference first-team honoree … Heartland Conference Championship all-tournament team … TAH Hospitality College Softball Kickoff all-tournament team … Two-time Heartland Conference pitcher of the week … NFCA Scholar-Athlete … Made the Heartland Conference academic Honor Roll’s Commissioner’s List (fall semester) and President’s List (spring semester) … Played in 45 games (22 starts), hitting .200 with one RBI … As a pitcher, made 37 appearances (20 starts), going 18-6 and posting a 2.21 ERA with 178 strikeouts and 79 walks in 171 innings … In Heartland Conference stats, finished third in ERA, second in opposing batting average (.209), fourth in innings pitched, second in strikeouts, first in strikeouts looking (63) and second in wins … In collegiate debut, allowed three hits and struck out nine in six innings as OC beat Chadron State (Neb.) 7-1 on Feb. 1 … The next day, fanned 12 in five innings as OC beat Midwestern State (Texas) 11-3 … Those two performances earned her all-tournament honors in the TAJ Hospitality College Softball Kickoff as well as recognition as the Heartland Conference pitcher of the week … Had 11 strikeouts in eight innings as OC rallied for a 5-4 win over Southern Nazarene on Feb. 14 … Allowed four hits and fanned 10 in seven innings in a 1-0 win over Fort Hays State (Kan.) on March 11 … Pitched a complete-game three-hit shutout with five strikeout as OC won 8-0 at Newman (Kan.) on March 29 … Outdueled eventual Heartland pitcher of the year Andrea Morales, striking out 12 and throwing a complete game as OC won 3-2 over Rogers State on April 18 … Tossed a complete-game six-hit shutout with six strikeouts as OC won 10-0 at Rogers State on April 27, clinching a share of OC’s first Heartland Conference regular-season title … That outing earned her the final Heartland pitcher-of-the-week award of the season … Continued her domination of Rogers State on May 2 in the opening round of the Heartland Conference Championship tournament in San Antonio, striking out 12 and allowing only two hits in a complete-game outing as OC won 6-0 … Picked up the pitching wins in OC’s other two games in the Heartland tournament, both against Lubbock Christian (Texas), eventually allowing only two runs and striking out 17 in 14 1/3 innings during the tournament … Named to the all-tournament team as a result … On May 10 in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional in Kingsville, Texas, picked up pitching wins against No. 11 Colorado Mesa and No. 10 West Texas A&M – both in relief – allowing one run in a combined 7 2/3 innings … Previous school: Attended Artesia High School … As a senior, went 15-2 with a 1.18 ERA and 115 strikeouts (against only 14 walks)  in 89 innings and hit .424 with eight home runs and 32 RBIs while leading her team to the New Mexico Class 5A title … As a junior, led Artesia to the 5A title game, going 11-1 with a 0.92 ERA, 103 strikeouts and 13 walks in 62 2/3 innings while hitting .480 with 38 RBIs and a state-best 15 home runs, posting a slugging percentage of 1.080 … Attended Dexter High School as a freshman and sophomore, leading that school to consecutive Class 3A titles and throwing a one-hitter in the championship game as a sophomore … Earned All-State honors five times, including as an eighth-grader at Dexter.
