OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 28, 2021) – Former Oklahoma Christian women's basketball standout Sydney Hill Reneau has been named as the university's Young Alumna honoree for the 2021 Homecoming festivities, which will be held Nov. 5-6.
She starred for the Eagles from 2012 to 2016, receiving honorable mention on the All-Heartland Conference list as a sophomore, junior and senior and twice receiving All-National Christian College Athletic Association Central Region honors (first team in 2013-14, second team in 2014-15).
She ranks 25th on OC's career scoring list with 1,168 points and 13th on the career assists list with 333. She also made the Heartland's academic Honor Roll four times.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture, she began a career in the construction industry, working as a construction technology manager for CMSWillowbrook in Oklahoma City. Earlier this year, she received the "Rising Star" award as part of the
Journal Record Excellence in Construction and Real Estate Awards Program.
Most recently, she assisted in the development of the new Homeland location at Northeast 36th Street and Lincoln Boulevard in Oklahoma City, a grocery store that is located in what often has been a so-called "food desert" in that section of the community.
She is married to former OC baseball pitcher Kelby Reneau and they have a daughter, Wren.
