VERDIGRIS, Okla. (Nov. 16, 2020) – Lexy Borgstadt, a multifaceted standout for Verdigris High School, has signed to play women's basketball at Oklahoma Christian, OC coach
Stephanie Findley said Monday.
The 5-foot-7 Borgstadt plays in the post for Verdigris but she "can play just about any position," Findley said.
As a junior, she led Verdigris to a 22-5 record, averaging 13.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. She was named to the All-World third-team list by the
Tulsa World and received honorable mention on the newspaper's All-State list.
"She can shoot the 3-pointer and she can post up," Findley said. "She's a strong rebounder and has a physical style of play to go along with a high basketball IQ. A hard worker who gives great effort, Lexy will post matchup problems for our opponents."
Borgstadt is the first member of OC's recruiting class during the current signing period.
