ADA, Okla. (March 18, 2017) – Emma Epperly, a 6-foot-1 forward who led Latta High School to the Class 2A girls basketball semifinals earlier this month, has signed to play college basketball at Oklahoma Christian, OC coach Stephanie Findley said Monday.

Epperly averaged 14.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game as a senior for Latta, which went 25-7. She made the Class 2A state tournament all-tournament team. As a junior, she was named to the All-Area first-team list by The Ada News after averaging 11.9 points per game. She'll likely land on a number of postseason honors lists in the coming weeks.

"Emma is a strong, physical presence inside, but also has the ability to step outside and hit shots or handle the ball," Findley said. "She is an aggressive rebounder who can finish well around the basket because she uses the backboard well. Glass shots are a lost art in basketball these days. I love how she looks for contact and it doesn't bother her. She's a very tough player."

Epperly is the first player to sign with OC for the 2019-20 season. She'll join a program that will make its debut in the Lone Star Conference in November.
