OKLAHOMA CITY (Dec. 6, 2019) – Oklahoma Christian's annual diaper drive to benefit a local adoption and foster care agency will be held on Dec. 14 before and during its women's basketball game against Arkansas-Fort Smith, OC coach
Stephanie Findley said.
The annual event will benefit Lilyfield Christian Adoption and Foster Care of Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Anyone bringing diapers, wipes or new baby items for babies ages birth to 24 months will receive free admission to the game in the Eagles' Nest. Findley is coordinating the drive.
Representatives from Lilyfield will be located at a table in the gym lobby during the game to provide more information about their agency.
"This will allow us to give foster families much-needed necessities when they receive placement of a foster child," said Holly Towers, Lilyfield's director. "Often placements happen with little notice and the child may come into a foster home with nothing but the clothes they are wearing."
