OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 20, 2019) – A week in which she broke two major Heartland Conference scoring records earned Oklahoma Christian guard
Addy Clift recognition Sunday as the Eagle of the Week.
Clift, a senior from Kiowa, first set the Heartland's career scoring record with a 26-point outing in a 105-50 romp over Texas A&M International on Thursday. She passed Nia Torru of Incarnate Word (Texas), who had 1,778 points from 2006-2010. Clift ended the week with 1,838 points.
On Saturday, Clift snapped her own month-old Heartland and OC single-game scoring marks in a 45-point outburst during a 104-53 win over league power St. Mary's (Texas). Clift scored 21 of those points in the first quarter, setting another school record. It was her fourth career 40-point game and only the sixth in Heartland history.
Clift also moved into the scoring lead in NCAA Division II, with an average of 27.8 points per game.
