No. 16 Oklahoma Christian won for the sixth time in seven games with a 64-54 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State here Saturday night.

The Lady Eagles (16-4, 9-2) pulled back into a tie with Lubbock Christian for first place in the SAC standings.

The SAC's leading scorer, Rachel Martin, scored a team-high 22 points to go along with six rebounds, three blocks and three steals. OC senior Katie Farris had a double-double for the second consecutive game and seventh time this season with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Both teams shot poorly in the first half with each at 24 percent before halftime. OC never trailed, but could extend the lead to no more than six points in the opening half. The Lady Eagles led 22-18 at intermission.

OC extended the lead to six at 27-21 when Martin converted an old-fashioned three-point play. But Northwestern answered with an 8-0 run and took its first lead of the game at 29-27 off a Brittany McBride basket with 14:55 left.

The two teams feverishly exchanged 10 leads and two ties over the next seven minutes. The Lady Eagles took a 42-41 lead off a pair of Martin free throws at the 8:45 mark and didn't trail again.

Martin followed the go-ahead free throws with a blocked shot on the defensive end and a three-pointer on offense to put OC ahead 45-41.

After D'Shanna Butler cut it to 47-45, the Lady Eagles outscored NWOSU 17-9 down the stretch to earn the win.

The Lady Eagles were a perfect 19-of-19 from the foul line in the second half and improved on their first-half shooting by going 54 percent from the field in the second stanza.

Three Lady Eagles scored in double figures, with DeCamp joining Farris and Martin with 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists. McBride was NWOSU's leading scorer with 18.

OC looks to earn another conference win Thursday against Science and Arts of Oklahoma in the Eagles' Nest. The women's game is set for a 6 p.m. tip with the men to follow at 8 p.m.
