No. 17 Oklahoma Christian University defeated St. Gregory's University 75-47 here Saturday night to improve to 11-3 on the season and 4-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.

The 28-point victory was the third largest of the season for Oklahoma Christian.

The Lady Eagles and Lady Cavaliers played a competitive first half with four lead changes and two ties. Oklahoma Christian built its largest lead of the half at seven when senior Katie Fariss put back a miss with 14 seconds left in the half to make the score 33-26.

OC pounced on SGU in the opening 10 minutes of the second half with a 17-4 run in the first 9:10. The Lady Eagle lead grew from seven to 20 in that span and was capped off when freshman Cressi Bryant stole an SGU pass and scored on the other end to make the score 50-30.

The lead swelled to its largest at 30 when Bryant again scored at the 7:43 mark to put OC ahead 64-34.

For the game, the Lady Eagles forced 28 turnovers, which they converted to 23 points.

Four players reached double figures for OC, led by senior Rachel Martin's 15. The first-team all-conference selection from a year ago also grabbed six rebounds, dished out five assists and snatched four steals.

Bryant finished with a career-high 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Fariss and Lindsey Gipson each added 12. Gipson was a perfect 5-of-5 from the field and 2-of-2 at the line. Allison Klick led SGU with 15 points.

Weather permitting, the Lady Eagles will play a make-up game Monday night at Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva. The game was rescheduled from Jan. 15 due to the recent ice storm.

OC returns home next week to host rival Oklahoma City University on Jan. 25 in the first annual "Backyard Brawl," presented by Bank of America and The Oklahoman. The women's game will tip at 6 p.m. with the men to follow at 8 p.m.
