OC splits hoop doubleheader at USAO

With three starters in double figures, the Oklahoma Christian University men's basketball team used a strong offensive effort to down USAO 75-58 in Chickasha Thursday. 

Senior Charles Baldwin led all scorers with 19 points, Keith Harris had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds, and John Nottley added 11 points. Sophomore Kyle Tefft came off the bench to score a season-high 10 points.

Oklahoma Christian, ranked 24th in the NAIA, improved to 9-5 overall and 3-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.

In the women's game, a late surge carried USAO to a 71-64 victory over Oklahoma Christian. 

The Lady Drovers used an 18-8 run over the final six minutes to hand the Lady Eagles their first loss in conference play. OC, ranked 17th in the NAIA, dropped to second place in the SAC at 3-1 and 10-3 overall.

Freshman Kailan DeCamp led OC with 18 points, followed by Rachel Martin with 16 points and Katie Fariss with 12. USAO had five players in double figures, led by center Nikki Yager's 15 points.

Weather permitting, the Lady Eagles and Eagles will host St. Gregory's University Saturday night. The women's game will start at 6 p.m., followed by the men's game at 8 p.m.
