A 13 point run by sophomore Lauren Decker ignited a comeback effort for Oklahoma Christian as the Lady Eagles defeated Texas Wesleyan University 69-62 in Ft. Worth, Texas Nov. 11.
Battling back from a seven point, 42-49 deficit, OC earned its third straight victory against the Lady Rams. Decker's surge, and connecting on eight of ten free throws in the final 3:54 proved decisive.
A 5-8 shooting guard, Decker led OC with 21 points and Tasha Turney had 17. Freshman Katie Fariss pulled down 14 rebounds.
The Lady Eagles host Southwest Assemblies of God on Friday (Nov. 14) at 4 p.m. and Bethel (Kan.) at 6 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 15).
