Freshman Katie Fariss' three point attempt bottomed out at the buzzer as Oklahoma Christian was edged 71-68 by No. 16 ranked John Brown University here Jan. 31.

After trailing by 10 points midway in the second half the Lady Eagles' comeback effort was ignited by three point baskets by Fariss and Becky Gray. Baskets by senior Eden Wiens and a nine point effort by freshman Sarah Stanley in the closing minutes fell just short.

Fariss and Stanley each finished with 15 points and Lauren Decker and Gray each scored seven points. The Lady Eagles are 13-8 overall and 4-5 in league play.
