Logan McKee scored 11 points in OC's 77-71 loss at USAO.

CHICKASHA, Okla. (Jan. 7, 2012) – Katy Clift scored 27 points but Oklahoma Christian suffered a late-game scoring drought while dropping a 77-71 decision to USAO on Saturday afternoon at USAO Fieldhouse.

OC (7-8, 2-6 Sooner Athletic Conference) led 71-66 after a 3-pointer by Clift with 2:52 left but didn't score again. USAO (4-10, 1-6) scored the game's final 11 points, taking the lead for good at 74-41 on a 3-pointer from the corner by Tashina Ototivo with 34 seconds left.

Clift missed two 3-point attempts in the final minute – the second of which would have tied the game – and Logan McKee missed another. Paige Pulliam went 3-of-4 from the free-throw line in the final 17.4 seconds to seal the win for the Drovers, who shot a sizzling 63 percent from the field (17 of 27) after halftime. USAO went 7-of-10 from 3-point range in the second half.

Pulliam led USAO with 25 points, while Liberty Payne had 21 and Ototivo had 15. The Drovers only had seven women on their active roster and five of them hit at least one 3-pointer.

OC scored the game's first nine points but USAO rallied to take the lead briefly at 24-22 before the Lady Eagles regained the advantage. OC led 34-29 at halftime, as Clift had 16 points.

The teams swapped the lead nine times in the second half. USAO led 55-49 with 10:38 left after a basket by Natalie Colton, but a 10-3 run by the Lady Eagles put them back ahead 59-58 with 6:38 left.

Three-pointers by McKee and Clift put OC up 71-66 and appeared to give the Lady Eagles some breathing room before the Drovers' late rally.

OC shot 33.8 percent from the field (23 of 68), including 29 percent from 3-point range (9 of 31). Katy O'Steen added 13 points for OC while McKee scored 11.
