Softball Moves Up to No. 13 in Latest NFCA Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Following a 4-2 week that featured wins over No. 13 Rogers State and No. 5 West Texas A&M, Oklahoma Christian has moved up one spot to No. 13 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Poll, the NFCA announced Tuesday, Feb. 24.

The Eagles split with Rogers State during the midweek, taking an extra-inning one-run victory on the road before remaining on the road to defeat West Texas A&M during game two of the conference foes' twin bill, which featured 17 hits for OC - the most single-game hits WT has allowed since 2021.

Following the pair of top-15 victories, Oklahoma Christian swept Eastern New Mexico, with one of the victories coming in run-rule fashion, 11-3 and 4-1.

On the season, the Eagles have posted four NFCA top-15 victories - No. 2 Tampa (twice), No. 5 West Texas A&M and No. 13 Rogers State.

No. 13 Oklahoma Christian will return to the Lawson Softball Complex this weekend following its six-game road trip when it hosts Lubbock Christian in a doubleheader Friday, Feb. 27 starting at 2 p.m. followed by Midwestern State Sunday, Mar. 1 at 1 p.m. and approximately 3 p.m.
