RICHARDSON, Texas - For the first time in his young Oklahoma Christian career, starting pitcher Corbin Kwan was named the Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday, Feb. 23.

Kwan (2-1) earned his second win of the season after pitching six scoreless innings while striking out nine batters against No. 12 Angelo State. Between Kwan and closer Evan Ballast, OC delivered ASU just its second home shutout since 2023. Nine strikeouts is also the most punch-outs thrown by a single pitcher against the Rams this season.

On the season, the Edmond, Okla., native is 13th in the conference with a 4.34 ERA while being tied for fifth with 21 strikeouts.

Oklahoma Christian returns home from a weekend in San Angelo, Texas, for a four-game series at Dobson Baseball Field against Texas A&M International beginning Friday, Feb. 27 at 5 p.m.
