LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After being ranked No. 25 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Preseason Poll, Oklahoma Christian softball comes in at No. 14 in the first regular season edition of the NFCA top-25.

OC is one of three Lone Star Conference teams in the new rankings, along with No. 2 Angelo State and No. 6 West Texas A&M. UT Tyler is also receiving votes.

The Eagles jumped up 11 spots in the poll after the first two weekends of the season which included a two-game sweep of then-No. 2 Tampa, 2-0 and 4-2, and a 7-1 start to the new year. No. 14 is the highest ranking OC has earned since the end of the 2020 season.

Oklahoma Christian ace Jill Dickson is currently 29th in NCAA Division II as of Tuesday, Feb. 10 with a 0.32 ERA, having allowed just one run in her 22.0 innings of work. As a staff, OC holds a 1.17 ERA, having allowed more than two runs just once through eight games.

 With their new top-15 rankings in tow, the Eagles will begin conference play this weekend when they host Cameron in a doubleheader Saturday, Feb. 14 starting at 2 p.m. After that, the maroon-and-gray travel to Claremore, Okla., for a non-conference two-game showdown with newly-ranked No. 12 Rogers State Tuesday, Feb. 17.
