No. 25 OC Goes Undefeated in Sunshine State Stay

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - No. 25 Oklahoma Christian finished its season-opening four-game road trip in the Sunshine State undefeated after taking down Eckerd College Saturday afternoon, 6-1 and 4-1.

Jill Dickson picked up her second win of the weekend with the game-two victory in Saturday's twin bill, allowing just one run in her time. Oklahoma Christian logged double-digit hits in both games against the Tritons.

No. 15 Oklahoma Christian (4-0, 0-0 LSC) will return home where it will co-host the UCO/OC Festival, playing four games in two days Friday, Feb. 6 and Saturday, Feb. 7 while five other games will be played on Tom Heath Field over the three-day tournament.

Game One: No. 25 Oklahoma Christian 6, Eckerd 1
Kadence Brewster got the scoring going with a lead-off double in the top of the second before Kallie Rupp brought him with Rupp's first of three RBI. One inning later, the Eagles broke it open.

With starting pitcher McKenna Ingram holding the Tritons to just one hit up to that point, OC used a five-run third on five hits to establish a 6-0 lead. Following a Danae Lopez RBI-single, pinch-hitter Victoria Brazil and Rupp went back-to-back with a two-RBI double and home run.

Ingram was relieved in the fifth after holding EC scoreless before Payten Schibbelhute came to the circle to do much of the same. An unearned run in the bottom of the fifth is all Eckerd was able to manage as OC took the 6-1 victory into game two of the doubleheader.

Game Two: No. 25 Oklahoma Christian 4, Eckerd 1
