TULSA, Okla. - In the first race of the 2025 season, the Oklahoma Christian men took first place out of 10 teams while the women took second in a strong field.
Men
Tegen Arega paced the Eagles on their way to a first-place team finish as he crossed second individually in the four-mile race with a time of 20:26.62.
Cole Powell, who was named among the Lone Star Conference's Preseason Male Runners to Watch, placed fourth at 20:35.26.
Blake Morrison placed 11th at 20:57.32 while freshman
Maxton Barker claimed a 14th-place finish at 21:06.42.
Jack Sydnes completed the countable scores for the OC men with a 22nd-place, 21:21.75 finish.
Women
2024 LSC Freshman of the Year
Kinley Kite paced the Eagle women in the first event of the season, placing third in the 5000-meter race. Fellow all-conference selection
Brooke Latham came in just a second after Kite at 17:54.19 for fourth place.
Veteran
Caroline Karr finished 14th with a time of 18:32.88 before
Kristen Kirk (20th) followed at 18:56.25.
Itzel Flores filled in OC's countable scorers with a 29th-place finish of 19:16.82.
