- Itzel is a freshman biology pre-med major from Laredo, Texas.
- Itzel's future goals are to become an invasive cardiologist, be top of her class, and hopefully become an All-American.
- Her dream race would be the 5k or the 1500m in the Olympics.
- Itzel's go-to road trip snack is popcorn.
- Her family consists of her mom, Claudia Martinez; her dad, Mario Flores; her sister, Sara Flores; and her grandma, Blanca Martinez.
- Growing up Itzel was inspired by her teammates and upperclassmen.
- Why OC?

"I chose OC because it provided a good Christian community and it allowed me to continue doing the sport I loved, alongside being in a great pre-med program that will further my education to be prepared for med school."
