No. 19 Eagles Prepare for Doubleheaders Against Aggies Sunday, Tuesday

EDMOND, Okla. - Beginning Sunday, Apr. 6, No. 19 Oklahoma Christian will play its final 10 home games of the 2025 regular season over the course of its next 12 contests. Starting that home stand is in-state conference foe Cameron, which will make the trip to Edmond for a Sunday doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. The Eagles will then turn around and play Cameron in Lawton Tuesday, Apr. 8 at 3 and 5 p.m.

EAGLE OUTLOOK (25-13, 18-10 LSC)
No. 19 Oklahoma Christian comes into this weekend riding a four-game win streak, all of which came on the road. During the pair of doubleheader sweeps against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International, the Eagles allowed just one run. Grace Anderson boasted two complete-game shutouts in the circle over that stretch.

Anderson is third in the Lone Star Conference and 17th in NCAA Division II with 131 strikeouts, while counterpart Jill Dickson is 23rd in DII with 125 strikeouts. Anderson, while being 69th in the country with a 1.94 ERA, has the ninth lowest ERA among pitchers who have thrown at least 120 innings. As a pitching staff, OC is fourth in the LSC with a 2.85 ERA.

The Eagles are hitting .315 as a team, which is third in the league, led by shortstop Kallie Rupp, who is hitting .414. Rupp is tied for third on the team with 36 hits, while OC boasts six players who have 30 or more hits. The maroon-and-gray join NFCA No. 2 West Texas A&M, No. 3 UT Tyler and Lubbock Christian as the only teams in the LSC with six players with 30 or more hits.

In last year's three-game series at home as well as 2023's road three-game series at Cameron, Oklahoma Christian took two of three as the Eagles lead the all-time series, 16-14. In last season's two wins over the Aggies, both games were decided by two or fewer runs, including a 1-0 series finale. Kadence Brewster's RBI-double in the third inning stood to be the difference as Dickson logged the one-hit shutout.

SCOUTING CAMERON (18-18, 11-15 LSC)
Similar to Oklahoma Christian's conference schedule, Cameron's LSC-slate started off with two NFCA Top-10 teams and a Lubbock Christian team which was receiving votes at the time, during which the Aggies went 0-6. Since then, CU has gone 11-9, including coming off back-to-back wins against Texas A&M-Kingsville on the road, 7-1 and 4-0. Cameron is 9-5 at home compared to just 6-12 in true road games in 2025.

Freshman infielder Haley Gardella leads the Aggie bats with a .429 batting average after starting all 36 games for Cameron, boasting 45 hits and 30 RBI and slugging .743, which is Top-10 in the LSC. Behind Gardella, CU boasts two other players hitting .350 or better as Cameron is fifth in the conference with a team-batting average of .307.
