NEW ORLEANS, La. - Ahead of the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships, true freshman
Laniyah Curry was recognized as an All-Region honoree in the long jump, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Tuesday, Mar. 11.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams.
The Edmond, Okla.
(Santa Fe HS) native is the first Eagle to earn All-Region honors since 2023 and the first to garner the award in the long jump since OC track and field joined the Lone Star Conference. Curry, who won the conference title in the long jump at the 2025 LSC Indoor Track and Field Championships, is one of three conference athletes to receive the regional recognition.
Oklahoma Christian's current record holder in the long jump will now compete at the NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field National Championships in Indianapolis, Ind., this week.
