VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - 2026 First Team All-Conference honoree
Laniyah Curry became Oklahoma Christian's first female indoor track and field athlete to be named an NCAA All-American since 2018 at the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships Friday, Mar. 13.
Curry, who did not place at last year's outdoor track and field national championships and one spot shy of All-America status, placed seventh at this year's Nationals with a long jump of 19-8.75 (6.01m), garnering first team honors after coming into this postseason with the ninth-best jump in the country.
The sophomore long jumper from Edmond, Okla., native is now a two-time LSC Champion in the long jump and the program's first track and field First Team All-American since McKenzie Stanford in 2018 and the first indoor track and field All-American since that same 2018 season.
