Fayetteville, Ark. - Both the Oklahoma Christian women's track and field 400 relay and 1600 relay school records fell over the weekend as the Eagles competed at the Arkansas Spring Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
Women
Laniyah Curry,
Hadleigh Harp,
Katie Bosley and
Nyla Bentley delivered the day's first highlight, breaking the 4x100 relay school record with a time of 46.72 for 11th place. Bosley got involved in her second school record of the day, joining
Lakin Gaddy, Sydnee Adee and
Kenzy McArtor with a new time-to-beat in the 4x400 relay, 3:53.11, recording a 12th-place finish.
Individually,
Kinley Kite ran a personal-best in the 1500 meter race, posting a time of 4:33.94 for fifth place, while
Brooke Latham placed seventh in the 800 meter (2:17.88). Sydnee Adee also set a new personal best in the 400 meter hurdles at 1:06.52 for an 18th-place finish. Curry, after having her hand in the 4x100 relay school record, came within a half inch of resetting her long jump record with a 20-1.0 (6.12m) second-place jump.
Men
Caden Triantos recorded the best finish of the Eagle men, placing 11th in the 3000 meter race with a time of 9:48.06.
George Simon recorded a personal-best 1:56.46 in the 800 for 21st place. Freshman
Maxton Barker matched Triantos' finish with an 11th-place finish in the 1500 at 4:02.27.
