EDMOND, Okla. - With eight games played at Lawson Softball Complex and Tom Heath Field over the next two days, Oklahoma Christian softball will be featured in four of them, facing Missouri S&T and No. 20 Southern Nazarene Friday, Feb. 7 and (RV) Pittsburg St. and Oklahoma Baptist Saturday, Feb. 8.

2025 UCO/OC Classic Tournament page. Fans, please note: Admission into the Lawson Softball Complex on Friday and Saturday will also grant you access to OC basketball and baseball this weekend.
EAGLE OUTLOOK (3-1, 0-0 LSC)
Oklahoma Christian got its 2025 season started with the Gulf Shores Invitational in Gulf Shores, Ala., where OC went 3-1 with wins over Union, Valdosta State and (RV) Nova Southeastern. In the Invitational's finale, OC used a six-run third inning to withstand a four-run top of the sixth for Nova.
Grace Anderson pitched the game's final two innings to log her second save of the young season and lead the Eagles to their third game in three days.
Reigning First Team All-Conference starting pitcher
Jill Dickson is 2-0 in the circle with a 3.00 ERA this season. The aforementioned Anderson is leading the pitching staff with a 1.66 ERA and a 1-1 record and is fifth in the conference following opening weekend with 18 strikeouts, while having thrown the second fewest innings among the Top-5.
North Texas redshirt freshman transfer
Maci George saw a stellar debut weekend, hitting .600 with six hits, including team highs in doubles (3) and RBI (5). Joining George with the impressive debut was true freshman
Marti Yaerger, who claimed two multi-hit games this past weekend. As a team, Oklahoma Christian saw 14 extra-base hits, including two triples and two home runs, and is fifth in the league with 10 doubles.
This is the second year in a row OC has co-hosted the Classic with Central Oklahoma. Last season, the Eagles saw an impressive string of victories, defeating No. 3 UCO, No. 19 Rogers State and No. 22 Oklahoma Baptist, finishing 3-1 through the four games with their sole loss coming against Pittsburg State. Oklahoma Christian has an all-time winning record against every team it will see this weekend, except for Missouri S&T, which OC will be playing for the first time. Â
SCOUTING MISSOURI S&T (0-5, 0-0 GLVC)
Missouri S&T opened its year at the Hawkins-McGhee Memorial hosted by Henderson State in Arkadelphia, Ark. where the Miners managed just nine runs in five games. As a team, MST is hitting just .195 but is led at the plate by junior utility Allie Kelly with a .375 batting average and six hits. Ace Mia Miller has pitched 19 of the Miners' 33.1 innings of action, holding a team-best 1.47 ERA.Â
SCOUTING No. 20 SOUTHERN NAZARENE (5-1, 0-0 GAC)
In six games, defending Great American Conference Champion and Central Region Runner-Up No. 20 Southern Nazarene has posted three run-rule victories. Hitting .375 as a team, SNU has recorded 28 extra-base hits, including six home runs, three of which have come from senior third baseman Hailey Evans. Evans was last year's team's second leading hitter with a .363 average and a team-high 66 hits.Â
SCOUTING (RV) PITTSBURG ST. (3-2, 0-0 MIAA)
After falling in the season opener to No. 11 Angelo State, (RV) Pittsburg State has won three of its last four games, including a 6-0 shutout victory against Midwestern State. The Gorilla's pitching staff owns a 1.60 ERA, led by senior reliever Chelsea Beville with a 0.00 ERA in 6.2 innings pitched, having allowed just six hits. Starting pitchers Ava Laurent and Aydenne Brown have each recorded 15 strikeouts.
SCOUTING OKLAHOMA BAPTIST (2-4, 0-0 GAC)
In its first year post Kayleigh Jones, the 2023 NFCA Division II National Pitcher of the Year and unanimous First Team All-American, Oklahoma Baptist turns to junior pitcher Jaycee Shaffer, graduate student Jorja Barrett and senior Morgan Max, who have each pitched at least 11 innings this season and contribute to the Bison's 1.79 team-ERA. Offensively, OKBU is only averaging 2.67 runs per game and has a .204 team-batting average.
