EDMOND, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian will play its third and second-to-last road game of the 2024-25 season when it heads south to San Antonio, Texas, to face off with No. 25 St. Mary's Thursday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. before meeting St. Edward's in Austin, Texas, Saturday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m.

EAGLE OUTLOOK (7-15, 4-13 LSC)
Last time out on the hardwood, Oklahoma Christian split the weekend's matchups against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International, getting revenge on the Javelinas from the season's first meeting, 76-67. The Eagles used a 17-point halftime lead to hold off TAMUK behind 22 points from Keyondre Young, 19 from Miles Gibson and a season-high 16 from Nickolas Traylor. Young, Gibson and Traylor were responsible for eight of OC's nine triples in the game.

One thing in particular the maroon-and-gold did well against Kingsville was protect the basketball. Coming into the contest, Oklahoma Christian was second-to-last in the conference with 15.5 turnovers per game. Thursday, OC committed just 10. The Eagles are 4-3 this season when comitting 12 or fewer turnovers, with one of those losses coming on a buzzer-beater against Texas-Permian Basin.

Oklahoma Christian's biggest advantage over teams they have shown this season is from beyond the arc. The maroon-and-gold are fourth in the conference and 55th in NCAA Division II shooting at a 36.9 clip from long range as a team. Leading that effort is Marco Foster, who is not only fourth in the conference with a 43.0 three-point shooting percentage, but leads the league with 3.1 makes per game.

As it did this past weekend, OC split the two contests the last time it played NABC No. 25 St. Mary's and St. Edward's. The then-unranked Rattlers got after OC in the first half, using a 15-point halftime deficit to down the Eagles, 78-64, holding leading scorer Young to just two points. Oklahoma Christian's win over St. Edward's in the first go-around was one of OC's staple victories in 2025, being led by a then-season-high 21 points from Jason Clark on just nine field-goal attempts while also tallying six points at the charity stripe.

SCOUTING No. 25 ST. MARY'S (17-5, 14-2 LSC)
After boasting a conference-best 11-game winning streak, No. 25 St. Mary's had that streak snapped at the hands of then-No. 6 DBU, 80-68, as the Patriots got revenge on StMU from an earlier-season loss. The Rattlers are still in second place in the LSC's east division and are currently the No. 2 seed in the LSC Tournament less than a month away.

St. Mary's is Top-6 in the league in every major defensive statistical category, including fifth in scoring defense (66.9 ppg), third in opponent field-goal percentage (41.5 percent) and sixth in opponent three-point field-goal percentage (32.6 percent). Additionally, the Rattlers lead the conference and are eighth in DII in team offensive rebounds at 14.8 per game. SCOUTING ST. EDWARD'S (15-10, 9-7 LSC)
St. Edward's enters play this weekend having won four of its last five games, having needed every one of those wins for its postseason hopes. Prior to its matchup against Cameron, the Hilltoppers are half-a-game ahead of ninth-place West Texas A&M as SEU is looking to make its sixth consecutive trip to the Lone Star Conference Tournament.

The Hilltoppers boast one of the best offenses in the conference with the third-ranked scoring offense (79.2 points per game) in the league as well as the third-ranked team field-goal percentage (46.8 percent) and third-ranked team three-point field-goal percentage (38.1 percent). On the year, SEU is 4-8 when it shoots worse than 35 percent from beyond the arc and 11-2 when shooting better than 35 percent.
