LAWTON, Okla. - In a game that featured six ties and three lead changes in the second half, Oklahoma Christian overcame a 12-point second-half deficit for an 81-78 victory over Cameron Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Miles Gibson led the way with 26 points, 19 of which came in the second half. After going 3-of-9 from the floor in the first 20 minutes, Gibson heated up with an 8-of-10 second half, including making his final seven field-goal attempts to help fuel the comeback.
Carson Jones followed Gibson with 16 points while
Elijah Bailey scored 15 off the bench for the Eagles, both of whom got the majority of their points in the second half. After being outscored in the first half, 37-28, OC nearly doubled its halftime point total by winning the second 20 minutes, 53-41.
Cameron came out of the gate with a quick 6-0 lead before opening a double-digit advantage less than seven minutes into game action. The Aggies extended their lead to 11 in the opening period before OC got it back within single digits at the halftime buzzer, 37-28.

Ma'Syn Howell 20 seconds into the second half, CU opened its biggest lead of the game at the 15:43 mark, 49-37. From there, the Eagles defense began tightening up, seeing about six points for every two points of Cameron's, slowly whittling away at the deficit.
With the score tied, 56-56, Bailey went on a personal 9-0 run to single-handedly give Oklahoma Christian its biggest lead of the game with 7:25 remaining in regulation, 65-60. From there, the lead would change hands just one more time as OC prevailed Tuesday night for the three-point victory.
