Softball Rises to No. 20 Following 4-0 Weekend

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Oklahoma Christian softball moved up the National Fastptich Coaches Association/GoRout Top-25 poll to No. 20, the NFCA announced Tuesday, Feb. 11.

The Eagles are one of four Lone Star Conference teams inside the newest edition of the Top-25 rankings, joining No. 1 UT Tyler, No. 7 Angelo State and No. 11 West Texas A&M. Lubbock Christian is currently receiving votes.

After entering the weekend at No. 24, OC swept through the 2025 UCO/OC Classic, most notably defeating No. 20 Southern Nazarene, 4-2, and (RV) Pittsburg St., 3-1. Last season, the maroon-and-gold opened 2024 at No. 16.

Oklahoma Christian (7-1, 0-0 LSC) will immediately face one of the conference's other NFCA Top-25 teams this weekend when it takes to San Angelo, Texas, to face No. 7 Angelo State in a doubleheader Friday, Feb. 14 at 1 and 3 p.m. The Eagles will then meet (RV) Lubbock Christian Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1 and 3 p.m.
