Box Score EDMOND, Okla. - A large halftime deficit was too much to overcome Saturday afternoon for the Eagles as Oklahoma Christian fell to St. Mary's, which came into the day in first place in the Lone Star Conference's east division, 78-64.

Marco Foster led the way with 17 points on 5-of-10 (50 percent) shooting, including hitting four triples, while Bryce Kennedy logged 15 points on an efficient 6-of-10 (60 percent) night. Miles Gibson did a little bit of everything for the Eagles, packing the stat sheet with eight points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Play started with both teams remaining in step until St. Mary's began to pull away, building an 11-point lead at the 14:04 mark. A quick nine-run burst from OC, however, kept the margin within striking distance halfway through the opening 20 minutes.

St. Mary's established its second double-digit of the first period with three minutes until intermission. That lead grew to 15 before both teams went into the locker room with the Rattlers shooting 58.6 percent (17-of-29) from the floor and 50 percent (4-of-8) from beyond the arc.

Oklahoma Christian came out in the second half looking to instill some life into the Payne Athletic Center. A furious 18-4 run seven minutes into second-half action as the Eagles threatened their first lead since the 18:24 mark of the first half with the score reading 47-46.

With the lead in question, the Eagles became stricken with foul trouble as Keyondre Young, Gibson and Foster all got their fourth fouls over the next four minutes. As a result, StMU began to slowly pull away yet again as the momentum built from the first half, despite the Eagle run, maintained the Rattlers for an eventual 78-64 victory.

Oklahoma Christian (6-10, 3-8 LSC) will hit the road for two consecutive weekends before returning home for its final four games inside The Nest. First on the road trip is Lubbock Christian Thursday, Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m. before meeting (RV) Midwestern St. Saturday, Jan. 25 at 3 p.m.
