2024 USTFCCCA Men's Track & Field All-Academic Athletes
NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Oklahoma Christian men's and women's track and field programs were recognized as 2024 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country All-Academic Team recipients, the USTFCCCA announced.
In addition to the team accolades,
Ethan Anthony,
Sam Fisher and
Wyatt Thiel of OC men's track & field were selected as 2024 All-Academic Athletes. Three honorees is the most recipients for this award the OC's men's track and field program has had since 2021.
On the men's side, Oklahoma Christian, which appeared on the All-Academic Teams list for the third consecutive year, was one of six Lone Star member institutions recognized while the women, in making their 10th straight appearance as an All-Academic Team, were one of seven LSC teams to receive All-Academic selection.
Criteria for a team to be named an NCAA Division II All-Academic Team includes the cumulative grade point average for all student-athletes of an institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field being 3.0 or higher.
For individuals to be recognized as an NCAA Division II All-Academic Athlete, they must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, they must have completed at least 24 semester hours through the end of the semester of competition at the institution and the student-athlete must have achieved an automatic or provisional qualifying mark (individual or relay event) for either the indoor or outdoor season.
