EDMOND, Okla. - Following its season-opening victory against region foe Western Colorado, Oklahoma Christian will play its first game on the road when it heads west for Weatherford, Okla., to take on Southwestern Oklahoma State Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m.

Oklahoma Christian opened the 2024-25 campaign with its third straight season-opening victory, defeating Western Colorado, 71-63.
Javon Grant helped OC overcome a five-point deficit with 14 of his game-high 20 points coming in the second half.
Marco Foster added 17 points to help the Eagles claim the eight-point victory.

Keyondre Young, after being held scoreless in the first half, scored all 10 of his points in the first two and half minutes of the second half to help fuel the comeback. Young hit 4-of-8 from the field while OC as a team shot 45.9 percent (28-of-61), including 55.2 percent (16-of-29) across the final 20 minutes.

Miles Gibson, who recorded a career-high 10 rebounds. After just one game, the Eagles lead the conference in rebounding margin (+10) while allowing the fewest opponent rebounds on a per-game basis. Wednesday, OCÂ will battle a Southwestern Oklahoma State team which is tenth in the Great American Conference with 28.5 rebounds per game.
The Eagles lead the all-time series against the Bulldogs, 20-15, including winners of the last two meetings. Those most recent victories, however, have come by a total of four points, including last season's 65-64 triumph at home. With seven of the last 10 meetings being played at a neutral site, OC has not lost to Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford since Jan. 3, 1984.  Â
SCOUTING SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA STATE (1-1, 0-0 GAC)
Southwestern Oklahoma State opened its season in Russellville, Ark., for the GAC/MIAA Challenge, where the Bulldogs went 1-1. Against Newman, SWOSU was out--rebounded, 41-24, before falling to the Jets, 80-64. Southwestern claimed its first win of the season less than 24 hours later, however, with a 76-69 victory over Missouri Southern.
Through the first two games, the Bulldogs' scoring has come from junior transfer guard Tobias Roland and fellow guard Eli Al-Debaran. The duo leads the team with 16.5 and 15.5 points per game, respectively, with the pair combining for 43 points in the win against Missouri Southern. Roland and Al-Debaran are one of just four tandems from the same team in the GAC averaging over 15 points a game. Â
