Softball Opens Season Ranked No. 16 by NFCA

Oklahoma City - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its first rankings of the 2024 season this week, and the Eagles found themselves in the top 20.

The Eagles debuted this season at #16 after ending last season in the top 25. The preseason ranking is the 3rd time in the four years that OC entered the season with a number by their name after receiving votes to start last season.

OC is one of three Lone Star Conference (LSC) teams in the first poll of the season, with West Texas A&M (4), defending LSC champs UT Tyler (8), and Lubbock Christian just outside and receiving votes.

In the first two weeks of the season, the Eagles will play #3 Central Oklahoma, #14 Concordia, #19 Rogers State, #22 Oklahoma Baptist, and #25 Northwest Nazarene.
