INDIANAPOLIS (June 13, 2022) – No Division II softball team was better at hitting triples in 2022 than Oklahoma Christian, according to the NCAA's unofficial statistical list for the just-completed season.
OC led Division II in both overall triples (34) and triples per game (0.63) while the Eagles posted a 39-15 record and earned their third straight trip to the NCAA Division II tournament. Teams from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference finished second nationally in those categories – Regis (Colo.) had 33 triples while Adams State (Colo.) averaged 0.59 triples per game.
Nine Eagles hit at least one triple during the season, with three players combining for 22. Sophomores
