Burrows makes debut at NCAA outdoor meet

ALLENDALE, Mich. (May 27, 2022) – Making his first appearance in the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, Oklahoma Christian's Dylan Burrows didn't advance out of his heat in the 800 meters on Friday afternoon at the Grand Valley State Track and Field Stadium.

Burrows, a sophomore from Melbourne, Australia, ran in the first of three heats in the preliminary round of the 800. He was fourth in his heat midway through the race but eventually placed seventh in the race with a time of 1:51.59.

The top two finishers in each heat, and the runners with the three next-best times, advanced to Saturday's title race. Overall, Burrows finished 21st of 23 runners.

Burrows was the last OC student-athlete in any sport to compete during the 2021-22 academic year.
