ALLENDALE, Mich. (May 26, 2022) – Oklahoma Christian middle-distance runner
Dylan Burrows will make his NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships debut on Friday, when he will compete in the preliminary round of the 800 meters at the national meet.
The prelims for the 800 are scheduled to start at 5 p.m. at the Grand Valley State Track and Field Stadium. Burrows will run in the first of three races. The top two finishers in each race, along with the runners posting the three next-best times, will advance to the title race at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
Burrows, a sophomore from Melbourne, Australia, ranks 15th in Division II in the 800 with a season-best time of 1:49.17, posted in the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., on April 14.
The top eight finishers at the national meet will earn All-America first-team honors in the event, while the next four finishers will earn second-team recognition.
