CANYON, Texas (May 15, 2022) – Oklahoma Christian middle-distance runners Ethan Anthony and Austin McNair posted solid performances in the 800 meters on Sunday in the Eagles' final competition of the season, the West Texas A&M Last Chance meet at the WTAMU Track and Field Complex.

Anthony, a sophomore from Mornington, Australia, finished third in the nine-man field in 1:55.30, just .14 of a second off of his career-best time at that distance. McNair, a sophomore from Denton, Texas, took fourth in 1:56.84. A third OC runner, sophomore Owen Pearce of Kingman, Kan., finished eighth in 2:03.58.

The Eagles' only other runner on Sunday was sophomore Camden Miller of Sand Springs, Okla., who posted a time of 29.80 seconds in the 200 meters.

OC now will wait for the release of the fields for the NCAA Division II Championships. The Eagles figure to have two men who have a shot at qualifying for the national meet – sophomore Dylan Burrows in the 800 meters and sophomore Chaney Martin in the decathlon.
