AZUSA, Calif. (April 15, 2022) – In fields of more than 110 runners in each race, Oklahoma Christian's Verrell McBride posted top-20 finishes in two sprint events on Friday during Azusa Pacific's Bryan Clay Invitational at Cougar Athletic Stadium.

In the 100 meters, McBride finished in 10.61 seconds, just .03 of a second off his season best. He placed 12th in a field of 118, ranking second among NCAA Division II sprinters in the race.

A couple of hours later, the junior from Norman, Okla., placed 17th of 114 runners in the 200 meters with a time of 21.46 seconds. That ranked third among the Division II competitors in the event.

The Eagles will run next Friday and Saturday in Oklahoma's John Jacobs Invitational in Norman.
