Austin McNair and
Owen Pearce all posted top-10 event finishes for Oklahoma Christian in Abilene Christian's Wes Kittley Invitational on Saturday at Elmer Gray Stadium.
McBride, a junior from Norman, Okla., placed fourth among 46 runners in the 200 meters in 21.31 seconds and sixth among 35 runners in the 100 meters in 10.62 seconds. McBride earned NCAA Division II All-America honors in the 200 during the 2021 outdoor track season.
McNair, a sophomore from Denton, Texas, and Pearce, a sophomore from Kingman, Kan., each ran in the 800 meters. McNair took fourth among 50 runners in 1:56.95, with Pearce not far behind, placing seventh in 1:57.63.
The Eagles' men's team will be spread across three meets next week, with those who qualifying competing in the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas, and the Texas State Invitational in San Marcos, Texas, from Thursday through Saturday and others competing in the Oral Roberts Invitational in Tulsa, Okla., on Friday and Saturday.
