OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 23, 2022) – The Lone Star Conference named Oklahoma Christian middle-distance standout
Dylan Burrows on Wednesday as the league's men's track athlete of the week.
Burrows, a sophomore from Melbourne, Australia, posted a pair of NCAA Division II provisional qualifying times during the Arkansas Qualifier in Fayetteville, Ark., on Friday.
Racing mostly against Division I competition, he finished seventh among 25 men in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.14. Later, as the anchor of OC's 4x400-meter relay team (along with
Camden Miller,
Keiontae Williamson and
Verrell McBride), he lowered the Eagles' season-best time to 3:15.85.
Burrows will enter this weekend's LSC Indoor Championships in Lubbock, Texas, ranked fourth in the conference and 24th in Division II in the 800 with a season-best time of 1:50.91.
