OKLAHOMA CITY (Aug. 29, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian has filled an open date on its 2021-22 men's basketball schedule by adding a game against sister institution York (Neb.), OC coach
Kendre Talley said Sunday.
The game against York, which competes in the NAIA, will be on Dec. 16 against 5 p.m. in the Eagles' Nest. It will be the first regular-season game between York and OC since Nov. 9, 2013, when Talley – then a senior point guard for the Eagles – recorded what was only the third triple-double in program history.
OC owns a 9-1 all-time record against York, including an 8-0 mark in games played at OC. The teams first played on Nov. 18, 1960, when York was a junior college and OC was in its first season of transitioning to senior-college status. The Eagles won that game 87-56.
