DES MOINES, Iowa (April 24, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian's
Dylan Burrows posted a NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time in the 800 meters on Saturday morning in the Drake Relays.
On the famed blue track at Drake Stadium, Burrows, a sophomore from Melbourne, Australia, finished third in a field of 24 in the College Division 800-meter race with a career-best time of 1:51.37. The time ranked as the 20th-best in Division II so far this season.

Brady Aderholt of Vernon, Texas, also ran in the race, finishing 15th in 1:55.85.
Sprinter
Verrell McBride, a junior from Norman, Okla., took third among 18 runners in the 200 meters with a time of 21.73 seconds and was seventh in the 100-meter final in 11.33 seconds.
Javier Hernandez, a senior from Allentown, Pa., finished 18th among 22 in the 400-meter hurdles in 56.59 seconds, while
Alex Samples, a freshman from Edmond, Okla., took seventh among 12 in the triple jump with a top mark of 43 feet, 9¼ inches (13.34 meters).
The Eagles now will point toward the Lone Star Conference Outdoor Championships, which will be run May 6-8 in Canyon, Texas, at West Texas A&M.
