INDIANOLA, Iowa (April 23, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian sophomore Owen Pearce posted a career-best time for 800 meters on Friday afternoon in the Kip Janvrin Open track and field meet at Buxton Stadium.

Pearce, from Kingman, Kan., placed eighth in a field of 44 runners with a time of 1:56.90. He was a late entry to the meet hosted by NCAA Division III Simpson (Iowa), as he also is running this weekend at the Drake Relays in nearby Des Moines.

On Friday morning at Drake, he ran in the 1,500 meters in the College Division and posted a time of 4:01.93.
