Colton Meyers added an individual top-10 finish in the 5,000 meters on Friday as the Eagles began the indoor track and field season in the Washburn Open at the Washburn Indoor Facility.

Owen Pearce placed third among 11 squads with a time of 10:13.08.
Meyers, a senior from Allen, Texas, placed 10th among 32 runners in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:29.66. OC sophomore
Kolten Johnson of Lewisburg, Tenn., finished 19th in 15:59.96, a career-best time by more than 30 seconds.
OC had three field-event competitors on Friday.
Alex Samples, a freshman from Edmond, Okla., finished 12th among 31 men in the long jump with a top mark of 21 feet, 5½ inches (6.54 meters).
Jonathan Olsson, a junior from Emporia, Kan., had a top mark in the weight throw of 43 feet, ¼ inch (13.11 meters), and
Chaney Martin, a freshman from West Plains, Mo., did not clear a height in the pole vault.
The meet will continue on Saturday.
