HAMMON, Okla. (Feb. 6, 2020) – Cade Allen, a sharpshooting point guard for Hammon High School in western Oklahoma, has signed to play basketball at Oklahoma Christian, OC coach
Kendre Talley said Thursday.
The 6-foot Allen is an outstanding outside shooter who has led Hammon to an 18-4 record this season and a No. 8 ranking in Class B. He's also a standout baseball player, having made the Northwest Oklahoma All-VYPE team in 2019 as a pitcher.
"We are excited to have Cade Allen as an OC Eagle," Talley said. "We have watched him for three summers in camps and AAU ball. He brings a true love of the game and a work ethic deluxe. Cade has excellent speed and quickness coupled with deep 3-point range. He is a great fit for OC basketball and our community."
Allen is the third player to sign with OC for the 2020-21 season, joining forward Nyk Madison of Midlothian, Texas, and guard Rylan Schlup of Latta High School near Ada, Okla. OC is in its first season of competition in NCAA Division II's Lone Star Conference.
