RICHARDSON, Texas (Feb. 26, 2020) – Oklahoma Christian junior Colton Meyers was named to the Lone Star Conference's All-Academic team for men's indoor track and field, which was announced Wednesday.

To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.3 grade-point average and be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically. The 11-man team is selected by sports information directors from the league's member schools, who consider both athletic and academic achievement while voting.

Meyers, a distance runner from Allen, Texas, earned All-Great American Conference first-team honors in 2019 in the indoor 3,000 meters and indoor 5,000 meters and was a second-team ALL-GAC honoree in the outdoor 10,000 meters.

He was a GAC Academic All-Conference selection and earned the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award last year. He made the Heartland Conference Honor Roll four times and the LSC's Commissioner's Honor Roll last semester.

In cross country, he earned All-LSC honors last fall as well as an All-Academic award from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
