Jonathan Olsson and
Caleb Bozarth joined Oklahoma Christian's distance medley relay squad in scoring team points on Friday on the opening day of the Lone Star Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Running at Texas Tech's Sports Performance Center, Bozarth, a junior from Bakersfield, Calif., posted a time of 15:42.14 to place eighth, with teammate
Colton Meyers, a junior from Allen, Texas, 11th in 15:52.70.
Olsson, a sophomore from Emporia, Kan., set a personal-best mark in the weight throw at 48 feet, 4½ inches (14.74 meters) to also finish eighth.

Javier Hernandez of Allentown, Pa., advanced through the preliminary round of the 400 meters, finishing eighth in a career-best time of 49.12 seconds.
After five scored events, the Eagles had four team points, good for a tie for eighth in the 12-team meet, which will conclude on Saturday.
